Account Deletion Policy

Effective date: 24 June 2026

We believe you should control your data. This policy explains how account deletion works on ExamiAI.

1. Your right to delete

If you created an ExamiAI account, you may request permanent deletion at any time. Deactivation or logging out is not the same as deletion — deleted accounts are processed for removal of personal data as described below.

2. How to delete your account

Option A — In the app:

  • Open Settings → Account → Delete My Account
  • Confirm your request and follow verification steps if prompted

Option B — Public web form:

  • Visit our Account Deletion page
  • Submit your registered email or mobile number and optional reason

3. What we delete

After verification, we delete or anonymize, where technically feasible:

  • Profile information (name, email, phone)
  • Login credentials and session data
  • Personal preferences and notification settings
  • Bookmarks, mission history, and identifiable attempt records
  • Support correspondence tied to your identity

4. What we may retain

Certain data may be retained when required by law or legitimate business needs, including:

  • Payment and invoice records for tax and accounting (typically 7 years in India)
  • Fraud prevention and security logs
  • Aggregated, anonymized analytics that cannot identify you
  • Records needed for ongoing legal disputes or regulatory requests

5. Processing timeline

Deletion requests are typically processed within 30 days of verification. You may receive a confirmation email when complete. During processing, your account may be locked to prevent new activity.

6. Subscriptions

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription billed through Google Play or another provider. Cancel your subscription first to avoid future charges. See our Cancellation Policy.

7. Re-registration

After deletion, you may create a new account, but previous progress and data will not be restored unless required by law.
