ExamiAI ("we", "us", "our") operates an exam preparation platform that helps students practice previous year questions (PYQs), track progress, and receive personalized study guidance. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By creating an account or using ExamiAI, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. Information we collect

We collect only the information needed to run the platform, keep your account secure, and improve your preparation experience.

  • Account information: name, email address, mobile number (if provided), login credentials, and authentication tokens.
  • Profile & preferences: target exams, subjects, study goals, theme settings, and notification preferences.
  • Learning activity: questions attempted, answers selected, bookmarks, revision schedules, mock test scores, mission completion, preparation index, and time spent in the app.
  • Device & technical data: browser type, device type, IP address (for security), session identifiers, and crash/error logs.
  • Support & safety: messages you send to support, bug reports, complaints, and account deletion requests.
  • Payment information (if applicable): transaction IDs and subscription status from payment providers. We do not store full card or UPI details on our servers.

2. How we use your information

  • Provide PYQ practice, Explore, Mission Mode, Mock Tests, Revision, Exam GPS, and progress analytics.
  • Personalize recommendations based on your strengths, weaknesses, and study history.
  • Maintain your Preparation Index, streaks, badges, and leaderboard standing (privacy-safe bands only).
  • Send important service notifications (e.g. mission reminders, security alerts).
  • Respond to support requests, complaints, and legal inquiries.
  • Detect fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
  • Improve product quality through aggregated, non-identifiable analytics.

3. What we do not do

  • We do not sell your personal data to advertisers or data brokers.
  • We do not display your exact rank against total platform user counts on public leaderboards.
  • We do not use your data for purposes unrelated to exam preparation without your consent.

4. Legal basis & consent

We process your data based on: (a) your consent when you register and use the app; (b) performance of our service to you; and (c) legitimate interests such as security, fraud prevention, and product improvement, where permitted by applicable law.

5. Data sharing

We may share limited data only with:

  • Infrastructure providers (hosting, email, analytics) under strict confidentiality obligations.
  • Payment processors when you purchase a premium plan — governed by their privacy policies.
  • Legal authorities when required by law, court order, or to protect users and the platform.

We do not share identifiable student learning records with third parties for marketing.

6. Data retention

We retain your data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, tax, payment dispute, fraud prevention, or security purposes. 7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including encrypted sessions, access controls, and secure server configurations. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we continuously work to protect your data. Read our Data Safety Policy for more detail.

8. Children's privacy

ExamiAI is designed for students preparing for competitive exams, including minors. We encourage parents and guardians to supervise use by students under 18. See our Child Safety Policy.

9. Your rights & choices

Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • Access and update your profile in the app.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data.
  • Opt out of non-essential communications.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based.

10. International users

ExamiAI is primarily operated from India. If you access the service from other regions, your data may be processed in India or where our service providers operate, subject to appropriate safeguards.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
